Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of the "Za Rulem" publication, announced that the Changan Alsvin sedan will soon ("any day now") be sold in Russia. According to Kadakov, this car will serve as a kind of replacement for the once very popular Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio budget sedans in Russia.
The Alsvin's length will be 4390 mm, and the wheelbase will be 2535 mm. The base version of the car will have a 1.4-liter naturally aspirated engine with 101 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission, while the top version will have a 1.5-liter engine (but the power is not much higher – only 107 hp) and a 7-speed DCT "robot".
"I don't think you should be afraid of the DCT robot. This is a 'wet' robot, the clutches of which operate in an oil bath. Quite reliable. It is installed on many models that are sold, including in Russia – there are no particular problems with it," – Maxim Kadakov characterizes the robotic transmission.
As for prices, according to Maxim Kadakov, the most affordable option will cost about 1.55 million rubles. And the version with the "robot" will cost 1.7 million rubles.
