The editor-in-chief of the publication "Driving" Maxim Kadakov announced that soon ("from day to day") they will start selling the Changan Alsvin sedan in Russia. According to Kadakov, this car will serve as a replacement for the once very popular budget sedans Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio in Russia.
The length of Alsvin will be 4390 mm, wheelbase - 2535 mm. The base car will have a 1.4-liter atmospheric engine with a power of 101 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission, in the top version - an engine of already 1.5 liters (but the power is not much more - only 107 hp) and a 7-speed "robot" DCT.
"I suppose, there is no need to be afraid of the robot DCT. It's a 'wet' robot, its clutches work in an oil bath. Quite reliable. It is installed on many models selling, also in Russia - there are no particular problems with it", Maxim Kadakov characterizes the robotic transmission.
As for prices, according to Maxim Kadakov, the most affordable option will cost about 1.55 million rubles. And for a version with a "robot" they will ask for 1.7 million rubles.
