Last week, the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited the exhibition of the Caucasian Investment Show, where he became acquainted with products of the company "Beshtau Electronics" from Essentuki at the stand of the Stavropol region.
"Today we are producing keyboards, mice, monitors. Here, unfortunately, the component base is 50%, not Russian yet", the governor of the region, Vladimir Vladimirov, told Mishustin. But according to Vladimirov, the situation may change by introducing a scoring system into the federal law "On the Contract System in the Field of Procurement of Goods, Works, Services for State and Municipal Needs" - this will allow increasing the volume of computer equipment production in Russia.
"I will definitely give instructions to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to look at localization. That's right. This is a very important direction. And we should not be shy when we produce elements, cases, keyboards, mice. It's okay if we start with this and do it qualitatively", Mishustin replied to this.
The Prime Minister also stressed the need to receive feedback from users and refine devices taking into account it: "It is definitely necessary to work in this direction, so that import substitution or, let's say, our technologies were evaluated by people and constantly improving, would provide the necessary quality".
