The Ministry of Digital Development reported on the preparations for the "Battle of Robots" championship, the first stage of which will take place in July. According to the ministry, 77 teams will participate in the event: 67 teams from 20 Russian regions and 10 foreign teams. This is how many were selected from 190 applications, although initially it was planned to select only 48 applications.
Foreign teams will represent 5 countries: Vietnam, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Turkey. As for domestic teams, Moscow leads with 26 teams. Next are: St. Petersburg (7 teams), Perm Territory (6 teams), Belgorod and Rostov Regions (4 teams each). The teams are already starting to create robots. They have to develop a design and think over a battle strategy.
