On Thursday, Izvestia published an article stating that government support for regional air routes would be reduced by 1.4-1.5 billion rubles. A RIA Novosti source confirmed the reduction of the state funding program by 1.4 billion rubles (to approximately 7.6 billion), and a representative of Rosaviatsiya stated that the agency, together with airlines and regions, is working on adjusting the route network due to funding optimization.

Rosaviatsiya recommended that airlines proceed from the principle of effective redistribution of budget funds and maintaining an acceptable level of air transport accessibility when revising the route network. "During this work, Rosaviatsiya is analyzing the formed route network, and an updated list of subsidized regional routes and additional proposals will be prepared," the agency added.
