According to Kommersant, citing Vedomosti, an interactive map displaying drones and related data in real time is expected to appear in Russia in 2024. A kind of Flightradar24 analogue. It is already known that the Almaz-Antey concern and the State Air Traffic Management Corporation (GK for ATM) will be involved in the creation of the service. But how it will all work is not yet clear.
There are two basic options for the new service. The first is that the system will operate via the Internet and the public switched telephone network (PSTN), operating on the basis of the State Air Traffic Management Corporation. The second option is to use the RUTM (Russian unmanned aircraft system traffic management) system for monitoring the joint movement of aircraft and drones, which has been developed by Aeronautical Satellite Technologies and Aviation Developments (ASTRA) since 2019. In addition to ASTRA, the Aeroscript Research Center, BTS Data Center and Fly Drone may also be involved in the interactive map project.
2 billion rubles have already been invested in the project. The service is planned to be tested in Chukotka and Yamal with the participation of the Russian Post.
