As reported by the publication 'Kommersant' referring to 'Vedomosti', in Russia in 2024 an interactive map is expected to appear, which will display drones and corresponding data in real time. A kind of analogue of Flightradar24. It is already known that the service will be created by the corporation 'Almaz-Antey' and the state corporation for organizing air traffic (AI Traffic Management Corp). But how it will work is still unclear.
There are two basic options for the new service. The first one - the system will work via the internet and a public telecommunication network (PTCN), functioning on the basis of AI Traffic Management Corp. As a second option, it is proposed to use the RUTM system (Russian unmanned aircraft system traffic management), the development of which since 2019 has been conducted by the company 'Aeronautical Satellite Technologies and Developments in Aviation' (ASTRA). In addition to ASTRA, the interactive map project may also involve the research center 'Aeroscript', the data center BTS and 'Fly drone'.
The project has already received an investment of 2 billion rubles. The service is planned to be tested in Chukotka and Yamal with the participation of 'Post of Russia'.
