МиГ-41 готовится к взлёту: что известно о перехватчике шестого поколения

The aircraft will replace the outdated MiG-31

Russia is developing a new MiG-41 interceptor fighter, which will be the first sixth-generation combat aircraft. The work is being carried out as part of the project of a promising long-range interception aviation complex (PAK DP).

The MiG-41 is being developed to replace the supersonic MiG-31 interceptor, which was adopted in 1981. According to data from open sources, the aircraft's design is currently at the stage of experimental design work.

The Fastest in the World

It is known that the MiG-41 will be able to accelerate to a speed of 4.3 Mach. The maximum speed of the MiG-31 is 2.8 Mach, which also makes it one of the fastest aircraft. It is also assumed that the MiG-41 will use stealth technology in its design, and a drone version is likely to appear.

Features of a sixth-generation aircraft include optional piloting, the ability to develop hypersonic speed (more than 4 Mach) and low radar signature.

New Features

Military experts have suggested that the MiG-41's onboard radar system will be redeveloped, as passive phased array antenna (PFAR) technology is hopelessly outdated.

Potentially, it may be based on the Belka radar station, developed for the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter, which will get rid of "childhood" shortcomings.

Is Such a Machine Needed?

If an aircraft with the stated characteristics actually appears, it will be comparable to the creation of an atomic bomb or Gagarin's flight into space. A revolutionary machine will give the owner absolute superiority in the sky.

The MiG-41 will be able to fly with impunity over the territory of any enemy and deliver high-precision strikes with both conventional and nuclear weapons, and even intercept warheads of intercontinental ballistic missiles in near space.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the developer of the new R-77M missile for the Su-57 and Su-35S with a range of 190 km became known.
