Most Chinese cars are equipped with 1.5-liter turbo engines designed for a mileage of no more than 250,000 kilometers. This is reflected in the standard warranty on cars, said Alexander Nosko, head of the service department of the Fresh automotive marketplace. At the same time, Chinese cars often break down even in the middle of the warranty period.

However, thanks to the use of a cast-iron block, Chinese engines are considered more durable compared to European counterparts made of aluminum. Cast iron blocks are less prone to overheating and retain their geometric shape for a long time.

Chinese manufacturers, guided by marketing considerations, often advise using "AI-92" gasoline for engines. However, this fuel is more prone to detonation than high-octane "AI-95", which leads to a decrease in engine power and a reduction in its service life.

It is recommended to change the oil approximately every 7000 km of mileage. It is important to consider the oil class, since small-displacement engines with high power can prematurely ignite fuel at low speeds. Not all oils can prevent this phenomenon, Nosko noted.
