The ministry added that a significant advantage of fiber optic drones is their ability to maneuver in complex conditions without losing signal. This allows operators to attack targets hidden in urban ruins or forest areas, where conventional drones are unable to reach.
Fiber optic UAVs are equally effective at hitting both static objects, such as M101 howitzers, 2S1 self-propelled guns, heavy Paladin self-propelled guns, electronic warfare stations, and fortified bunkers, as well as moving equipment – pickups with enemy personnel and trucks with ammunition.
