The Russian Armed Forces are using North Korean KN-23/24 missiles, which are as accurate as the 9M714 missiles of the Soviet OTR-23 Oka operational-tactical missile system, according to Bulgarian Military.

KN-23/24 are as accurate as missiles for the Soviet OTR-23 Oka systems. However, the key advantage of North Korean missiles is their longer range (up to 700 kilometers).

About OTR-23 Oka

The operational-tactical missile system was developed by specialists from the Kolomna Machine-Building Design Bureau. According to NATO classification, OTR-23 Oka is SS-23 Spider.

The system was adopted in 1983. It was produced at the Votkinsk Machine-Building Plant in Udmurtia. The military leadership of the USSR decommissioned the OTR-23 Oka after the signing of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) with the United States.
