For Russian aviation, in addition to the standard universal planning and correction modules (UMPC), a UMPC-P version of the "biplane with folding wing" type has been designed. This was announced by military expert Yevgeny Damantsev.
Thanks to the aerodynamic properties of the standard wing, an aerial bomb with this product will be able to glide for more than 100-130 kilometers in the altitude range from 5 to 15 kilometers.
After that, the tandem wing can be fired off by means of squibs, and the standard wing can provide further gliding of the aerial bomb for another 25-35 km with acceleration up to 0.8-0.9M. Thus, the range of the product can reach 165 km.
If equipped with a pulsating rocket, booster or small-sized rocket engine, the UMPC-P can provide a gliding range of 250-300 km.
The dimensions of the cargo compartment of the Il-76 family of aircraft potentially allow carrying two to three dozen FABs with UMPC-P, and possibly more - this will depend on the caliber of the aerial bombs and the configuration of the glider's limiting parameters. There is another version of the FAB carrier with UMPC-P - the Tu-22M3 long-range supersonic bomber-missile carriers.
Earlier,www1.ru reported that the United States recognizedthe superiority of the Soviet T-34 tank over the Sherman.
