Russian artillery prefers the 'hit and run' tactic, and the Krasnopol guided projectile, developed by High Precision Systems, is becoming its main tool. This was reported by Rostec.

The state corporation noted that modern howitzers are coming to the aid of artillerymen — the modernized Msta-S, as well as the newest wheeled Malva and Giatsint-K.
From a distance of tens of kilometers, Krasnopol can hit even such a small and mobile target as a tank with a direct hit. Today, High Precision Systems has significantly increased the production of these munitions.
To accelerate the entire reconnaissance and fire system, Rostec supplies the troops with Planchet-M-IR artillery fire control systems. They connect equipment, drones, intelligence data, and control commands in a single information field.
It should be noted that the Krasnopol system consists of a 152 mm guided high-explosive fragmentation projectile and a laser designator-rangefinder for guidance. The projectile is compatible with a wide range of artillery pieces.
