Designer David Epp from Omsk developed a new design for a semi-trailer grader. The main difference is that the blade shifts sideways up to 1.5 meters directly during operation, without leaving the tractor cabin.

Epp solved a problem that had long plagued machine operators. To move the blade to the side, the operator had to stop and manually reposition it on the carrier plate.

The engineer made the running gear a four-wheeled bogie. Its body was connected to the rear frame via a vertical hinge and two hydraulic turning cylinders. The balanced wheel attachment, along with the articulated frame connection, compensates for terrain irregularities.

The grader operates at relatively high speeds and removes up to 30 cm of soil in one pass — which is a lot for heavy soils. The dimensions are small, making the machine maneuverable. All hydraulic cylinders are controlled from the tractor cabin. The work requires a tractor of traction class 3 or higher with four pairs of hydraulic outlets.
