MC-21 prototype aircraft significantly increased their flight hours in September. Four aircraft performed 28 flights with a total duration of about 108 hours.

A month earlier, three prototype aircraft made 21 flights and spent almost 72 hours in the air.
The main load in September was again taken by aircraft No. 73057. It performed 15 flights, during which specialists checked various onboard systems. Aircraft No. 73055 made four flights to test radionavigation equipment and the aircraft navigation system.
On board No. 73051, the operation of the radio altimeter was evaluated, and No. 73054 flew with updated software to check altitude and speed measurements. Some flights included service transfers, so not all flight hours can be considered as fulfilling certification tasks.
In September, ground preparation of the second production MC-21-310 with factory number 0015 also continued. Its first flight was planned for the end of October.
