Kalashnikov Concern has completed the shipment of AK-103 7.62 mm caliber assault rifles under an export contract for 2026. Rosoboronexport represents the Russian side in the deal, the concern reported.

According to the manufacturer, for the past five years, the AK-103 has remained the concern's most mass-produced export item in the small arms category. However, the customer, the number of assault rifles supplied, and the contract value are not disclosed.
The AK-103 was developed based on the AK-74M for the 7.62 × 39 mm cartridge. The assault rifle retained the classic design of the Kalashnikov family, a folding stock, and a 30-round magazine. The weight of the weapon with an empty magazine is 3.6 kg.
The first export delivery of the AK-103 took place in 1997. The concern considers the model to be one of the most successful examples of the hundredth series, intended for foreign customers.
