NPO "Angstrem", a resident of the special economic zone "Technopolis Moscow", has created a microcircuit for data transfer between electronic devices. The chip is fully produced in Moscow and will replace foreign analogues, the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy reported.

The microcircuit operates on the RS-485 protocol, which is used for communication between devices in industrial systems. The chip is resistant to interference, transmits data over long distances, and combines devices into a single network.
Applications include industrial automation, energy, security systems, urban infrastructure, smart sensors, and measuring instruments. The product is integrated into existing technical systems, and the company has submitted documents for the inclusion of the development in the register of Russian industrial products.
For factories, this closes a critical dependency: RS-485 is a global standard, but the microcircuits themselves were imported and difficult to supply. Since the beginning of the year, "Angstrem" has developed 114 types of products, two of which have been launched into production.
In total, the company has produced over 10 thousand types of microcircuits - from telecommunications to space.
