The American corporation Visa International Service Association (the legal entity of the international payment system Visa) has registered three trademarks in Russia, including for telecommunication services. This is confirmed by materials from the database of the Federal Intellectual Property Service (Rospatent).

Visa filed applications for registration back in March, and all necessary procedures were completed in September. The trademarks are registered under classes No. 37, 38, 39 of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICGS), which include construction and repair, telecommunications, communication services, transport, packaging, and tourism.
In particular, class No. 38 provides for services for providing access to the Internet and databases, transmitting digital files, providing access to blockchain networks, organizing video conferencing, launching satellites, piloting civilian drones, etc.
In the spring of 2022, Russian Visa cards stopped working abroad. Since 2015, all operations with Visa payment system cards have been processed through the National Payment Card System (NSPK). Currently, Visa cards are gradually being withdrawn from circulation, and the volume of Mir system cards is increasing.
