The heavy robotic complex “Shturm” was shown at the “Tsentr-2026” exercises in the Chelyabinsk region. RIA Novosti footage captured a variant of the complex with a 125-mm D-414 gun with a shortened barrel. The vehicle was shown at the Chebarkul training ground.

The complex combines a tank chassis, remote control, and weaponry envisioned by the project for assault operations.

The “Shturm” complex is being developed by Uralvagonzavod based on the T-72/T-90 family tank chassis. The gun variant received a 125-mm D-414 gun with a shortened barrel, an automatic loader for 22 rounds, and a bulldozer blade.

The shortened gun is not needed to increase the firing range, but to reduce the barrel's protrusion beyond the hull. This is especially relevant when moving between buildings and in narrow passages.

Earlier project descriptions also featured other combat vehicle variants — with reactive flamethrowers, two 30-mm automatic cannons, and 220-mm thermobaric unguided rockets. A mass of up to 50 tons, a speed of up to 40 km/h with remote control, and a control radius of up to 3 km were also indicated. However, there is no open data on the characteristics of the specific vehicle shown at “Tsentr-2026”.
