Russian Severstal and Belarusian Gomselmash signed an agreement on long-term strategic partnership at the INNOPROM. Belarus exhibition. Employees of Severstal Engineering and Gomselmash designers will jointly develop solutions to improve the competitiveness of equipment.

The key direction is the introduction of rolled metal products with enhanced operational properties into assemblies and structures. POWERS steels will reduce machine weight without loss of strength, and specialized Steelazer steel for laser cutting will increase productivity and reduce cost. The main beneficiaries will be farmers, who determine the requirements for the equipment.
The companies have been working together for more than 20 years. Now they are moving from a 'supplier-consumer' format to a full-fledged technological partnership. The first technical council has already been held, and a pool of priority tasks has been agreed upon. The combination of Severstal's metallurgical competencies and Gomselmash's design experience should strengthen the position of their equipment in the markets of Belarus, Russia, and beyond.
