On October 1, the northern vestibule and the international Moscow — Minsk platform opened at the Moscow City urban railway station. Six pairs of Lastochka trains will depart from here daily, and the journey, including all logistics, will take as much time as a flight.

The new vestibule opens onto Shmitovsky Proezd, from where one can transfer to the Moscow Central Circle and Shelepikha metro station. The southern vestibule opened in April, and during this time, more than 630 thousand people have used it. The new stop reduces travel time by approximately 30 minutes.

On the same day, a memorandum was signed on the construction of a high-speed railway line between Moscow and Minsk, with a length of 715 km. Travel time will be reduced by 2.5 times — to three hours, train speeds will reach 400 km/h, and 21 train sets are planned for the line.

By 2030, the passenger traffic of the Moscow City and Business Center transport hub will increase by more than 30% — from 130 thousand to 175 thousand people per day. The new platform transforms the urban railway station into an international one and strengthens ties with the twin city.
