Construction of a new modular gas boiler house has begun at OSK's 33rd Ship Repair Plant in Baltiysk. This was reported to “Pervy Tekhnichesky” by OSK's press service. The project is being implemented under an energy service contract with “OSK-Energo”.

Why the boiler house is being changed

Further operation of the existing fuel oil boiler house became economically unfeasible for the plant's needs. The cost of heat generation without city compensation has increased manifold. Under the energy service agreement, “OSK-Energo” fully finances the construction, and the return on investment comes from future fuel savings.

The design documentation for the new boiler house has passed expert review. The site has been prepared, piles have been driven, and the foundation is being laid. The main equipment has been delivered, and external utility networks have been installed. The symbolic key handover is scheduled for December 2026.

Russian-made equipment is being used in the construction. Manufacturers from the Kaliningrad region are involved: sand, concrete, metal structures, and sandwich panels are supplied by local enterprises.
