According to specialized resources, a drone identified as Gerbera-2 entered Romanian airspace. The aircraft entered the country through the north of Botoșani County and crashed near Solca, Suceava County. The aircraft was in the country's airspace for about four minutes before crashing near Solca. Local residents found the wreckage in the forest. Following the incident, the Romanian Air Force scrambled two F-16 fighters to monitor the air situation.

Fighters from the alert squadron took off from the 86th Borcea Air Base to observe the target. After the aircraft crashed, emergency services cordoned off the scene and found a small drone. According to official information, no fires, fatalities, or material damage were recorded.

After the drone crash, the Romanian military deployed an IAR-330 SOCAT helicopter to monitor the area. The helicopter took off from the 95th Bacău Air Base at 07:21. At 06:26, residents of Botoșani and Suceava counties received messages from the RO-Alert system about a possible air threat.

The day before, another incident became known. According to the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces, a Russian Mi-8 helicopter briefly violated the country's airspace. The Polish source claims that the helicopter penetrated Polish territory by no more than 300 meters and remained there for only 42 seconds. After that, it independently changed course and returned to the airspace of the Russian Federation.
