Vietnam has become one of the main tourist discoveries of the summer for Russians. According to MegaFon, the number of the operator's subscribers who used roaming in the country increased by 131% in a year. As a result, Vietnam surpassed Thailand and entered the top ten most popular foreign destinations.

Turkey remains the leader of the rating. It is followed by Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Egypt, Georgia, Armenia, and Abkhazia. Vietnam took ninth place, leaving Thailand in tenth position.

China also significantly strengthened: the number of roaming users there increased by 37%, thanks to which the country rose to fourth place. At the same time, some trips are not only related to leisure — Russians use Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou as transit hubs on their way to other Asian countries.

Interest in less popular routes is also growing. The tourist flow of MegaFon subscribers to Brazil increased by 52%, to Saudi Arabia by 42%, to Mongolia by 39%, to Hong Kong by 31%, and to Morocco by 27%. The operator attributes this growth to the expansion of direct flights and more convenient entry conditions.

Within Russia, Moscow and St. Petersburg remained the leaders in the number of trips. The Perm Krai showed the sharpest growth — more than 2.5 times — and Yamal, where the number of visiting subscribers increased by more than 2.3 times.
