Young specialists may lose their usual way to start a career. AI and automation are gradually taking over routine tasks, which graduates typically started with and gained professional experience from, said Alexander Vaino, director of the "Young Professionals" direction at the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

Typically, a graduate comes to their first job and is given the simplest tasks. By performing them, they gradually master the profession, understand work processes, and acquire the necessary competencies.
Now, some of this work can be performed by AI. According to Vaino, as technology develops, there will be fewer opportunities to gain initial practical experience through routine tasks.
Because of this, the ASI representative believes, the approach to training specialists will have to change. Professional skills alone will not be enough. Students and graduates also need to understand how business processes are structured in the industry where they intend to work.
The school itself, he said, may also change. ASI, together with representatives of government agencies, is working on creating a new model of school education.
Vaino believes that the current system is primarily focused on knowledge transfer. In the new conditions, in his opinion, more attention will need to be paid to forming certain types of thinking.
The topic is particularly relevant against the backdrop of the situation in the Russian labor market. On September 11, the Bank of Russia reported a gradual decrease in tension: the labor shortage continues to decline, and wage growth is slowing down. At the same time, wage dynamics are gradually approaching labor productivity growth, although the gap between them still remains significant.
Unemployment, meanwhile, remains near a historic low, although it has slightly increased in recent months, the regulator specified.
On September 2, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov also stated that the labor shortage in Russia persists, although the situation varies significantly across industries. According to him, enterprises have formed teams for new productions during the period of personnel shortage, and now, with declining demand, they are afraid to lay off employees.
