The vast majority of active crypto traders are ready to transfer operations to the Russian circuit as soon as ready infrastructure appears. This is evidenced by the results of a study by the Finam financial group, which RIA Novosti reviewed.

More than 1500 respondents – Finam clients – participated in the survey. Among them, 68% already have the status of a qualified investor, and another 19% plan to obtain it. When asked about their readiness to trade cryptocurrency through Russian services, 28% answered “yes”, and another 57% – “rather yes”. In total, 85% of respondents are inclined to switch to the Russian circuit.

Current situation

Today, most active traders work through foreign platforms: 74% use foreign crypto exchanges, and another 28% use a broker or bank in the foreign market. Some work through DEX protocols, MEXC, and cryptocurrency futures on the Moscow Exchange.

Activity, however, is low. Almost a quarter (23.1%) enter the market once a month, another 24.8% – less often. Only 18.2% trade daily. Turnover is also moderate: for 47.1% of active traders, it does not exceed $1000 per month, and only 3.3% operate with amounts over $50,000.

9.5% of respondents trade cryptocurrency regularly, 20.5% from time to time, and 23.5% traded before. The largest group – 32% – has never traded but is considering such an opportunity.

Among those who are ready to consider Russian services, 48% name an initial amount of up to 100 thousand rubles, another 28% – from 100 to 300 thousand rubles. Only 14% are ready to immediately invest over 300 thousand rubles. The picture coincides with how traders already behave on foreign platforms: small test volumes instead of a sharp capital transfer. Finam management noted that as legal instruments develop, a gradual outflow of investors and their operations to Russia should be expected.
