Scammers have started exploiting the hype around the iPhone 18 release to defraud Russians, offering to pre-order the smartphone at a discount or in a specific color. This was reported to TASS by "Moshelovka".

According to "Moshelovka", fraudsters demand an advance payment to secure a reduced price, order a specific color, or arrange a special delivery from abroad. After the money transfer, they disappear along with the correspondence.

Another variant involves messages from a payment system's security service about an account login from an unknown device and a request to transfer over $900.
