The Belarusian OAO "ALEVKURP" has developed a specialized computer, the SV-RT1, for the modernized 9A33-2B combat vehicle, part of the Osa SAM system. The new block is installed in place of the 9S456M3 computing device and replaces about a dozen outdated analog devices. This was reported by the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus.

The SV-RT1 is intended to simplify the preparation of the complex for combat use. According to the State Military Industrial Committee, the computer fully automates equipment configuration, information collection, and the generation of anti-aircraft missile control commands.

Some functions, which previously required a set of separate analog blocks, are now transferred to a single modern computing unit. This reduces the amount of equipment inside the combat vehicle and automates the crew's work.

The State Military Industrial Committee also claims improved operational reliability and maintainability of the SAM system. The agency does not provide specific figures, such as mean time between failures or reduction in repair time.

The SV-RT1 is installed on the existing 9A33-2B combat vehicle, so this is not about creating a new SAM system, but rather updating the computing part of the Soviet system.

For the Osa, developed during the Soviet era, replacing the analog component base is a way to extend the capabilities of the complex by updating its electronic part.

Detailed characteristics of the new computer have not yet been disclosed. The State Military Industrial Committee does not report its performance, architecture, memory capacity, or the list of specific analog blocks that are included in the stated "about a dozen" replaceable devices.
