The world's first anthropomorphic robot will soon begin working on Russian Railways (OAO "RZD") trains. It will perform the duties of a conductor, said the company's CEO Oleg Belozyorov on the sidelines of the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg.

According to Belozyorov, the robot has already completed an experimental trip. It served passengers on the high-speed "Sapsan" train.
The CEO of RZD believes that in the future, people will manage a large number of robotic systems. But machines will never be able to replace humans, the top manager noted.
In some cases, being a conductor and working with passengers is very, very difficult.

Robot Volodya's trip on train No. 768 took place on July 31. The humanoid met passengers on the platform, checked documents for boarding, and helped them find their seats. It also conducted a wine tasting in the bistro car.
RZD does not disclose the technical characteristics of the robot. However, experts note its similarity to the Chinese Unitree G1 model.
