The crews of "Giatsint" self-propelled howitzers operate in all weather conditions, but some factors affect the shot more than others. Senior gunner Alexander spoke about the details of the self-propelled gun.

According to him, heat and cold do not affect the projectile's behavior in the air as much as wind.
The most important thing is, of course, the wind. You can't fool physics. In any case, wind is the most important thing. Other weather conditions – both cold and heat… You can work.
The artilleryman added that there are many subtleties in aiming the 152-mm "Giatsint". With an understanding of these, the crew can conduct precise firing.
It should be noted that the physics of the 152-mm "Giatsint" shot confirms the gunner's words. With an initial projectile velocity of 942 m/s and a weight of 46 kg, the flight time to the maximum range of up to 33.1 km exceeds 60 seconds, and the trajectory reaches an altitude of 10–12 km, where air currents are unpredictable.
By the way, the firing range of the self-propelled gun increased to 40 km and reached the level of the German PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer, the French CAESAR, and the Swedish Archer.
