The Industrial and Export Councils of St. Petersburg have approved a regional robotics development program until 2030. The target is 145 robots per 10,000 workers and entry into the top 25 countries by robot density, Governor Alexander Beglov announced. The program was approved but not yet finalized; additions will be collected, after which the document will be sent to the governor for signature.

Currently, about two thousand industrial robots operate in the city. Enterprises can access subsidies for implementing robotic systems – 100 million rubles will be allocated for this purpose this year, and preferential loans are available from the St. Petersburg Industrial Development Fund. Funding for the city's state program to support industry will exceed 10 billion rubles – 3.4 billion more than in 2025. There are 27 industrial parks operating in the city.

Among the technical projects are: modernization of "Severnaya Verf" with investments of about 300 billion rubles and a 16-fold increase in productivity by 2030, more than 40 ships and vessels on the slipways, and the relaunch of all four automotive sites.

St. Petersburg already produces a third of all drones in the country. More than 70 residents work at "Technopark St. Petersburg," and a test site is operating in Kronshtadt under its management.
