The restored hydrofoil "Voskhod-50" has embarked on its first voyage in 24 years – from Perm to Sarapul in the Udmurt Republic. Dmitry Makhonin, the head of Perm Krai, announced this in the "Max" messenger.

The journey by water takes 8 hours and 55 minutes with stops in Krasnokamsk, Ust-Kachka, and Chaykovsky. The "Voskhod" will depart for its next voyages from Perm to Sarapul on September 18 and 25. The vessel was restored in the Leningrad region: specialists brought the hull and all ship systems back into service, installed a new main engine, and updated the interior and seats.

The "Voskhod-50" reached Perm under its own power – along the Volga and Kama rivers through Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Chaykovsky, Lake Onega and Lake Ladoga, and several reservoirs. Makhonin noted that as a child, he dreamed of riding the "Voskhod," and now children are passengers on the restored vessel. According to him, the motor ship will become a highlight of the region's river navigation.
