The construction of new metro sections will reduce travel time from the Moscow Region to the capital by approximately half by 2035. About 35 stations will appear, 12 of them in the region, said Moscow Deputy Mayor Maksim Liksutov.

New stations will be built in Krasnogorsk, Khimki, Mytishchi, Balashikha, Odintsovo, and two directions of Leninsky District, as well as in New Moscow, including Shcherbinka. Approximately 600,000 people will use the new sections daily. By 2035, 33% of Moscow Region residents will live in the metro service area. The extension will bring the city closer for 2 million Muscovites and 3.7 million residents of the region.

The Moscow Government has guaranteed Metrovagonmash a stable order for decades to come: the capital will continue to purchase the most modern domestically produced trains for new sections. This will provide the enterprise with work and passengers with transport.
