"Yandex Music" is introducing mandatory labeling for tracks created with the help of neural networks. Depending on how much AI was involved in the creation of the composition, a note about full or partial use of the technology will appear next to it.

The main data will have to be provided by the rights holders themselves. If there is no information, but the service's algorithms detect signs of generation, the track will receive the status "Possibly, the track was created using AI".

According to the service's preliminary assessment, neural networks are already used in approximately 4.4% of the entire catalog. Among new releases, the share is noticeably higher - about 27%, although most of these compositions do not yet gain a significant number of listens.

For those who do not want to frequently encounter synthetic music, a "Less AI" setting will appear. It will less often mix such tracks into personal recommendations.

At the same time, the service is tightening its rules: mass publication of similar compositions, imitation of voices of famous artists, as well as artificially accelerated and slowed-down versions of songs will be prohibited.
