Foreign customers significantly increased their interest in Russian combat aviation and air defense systems in 2026. This was announced by Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.
According to him, the export portfolio includes agreements for the latest Russian aircraft, including the 5th generation Su-57E fighter and the modernized Yak-130M combat trainer, as well as the Il-78MK-90A tanker aircraft.
Mikheev specifically highlighted the Su-57E. The fighter features internal fuselage placement of modern aviation weapons, which helps maintain the aircraft's low observability.
The Pantsir family of anti-aircraft systems has already accounted for tens of thousands of destroyed aerial targets, including Storm Shadow cruise missiles, ATACMS ballistic missiles, and various classes of UAVs.
Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov indicated Russia's readiness to cooperate with India on the supply of Su-57 and S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile systems.
However, the republic is not yet in a hurry to acquire the 5th generation fighter, preferring to modernize the Su-30MKI, purchase French Rafale aircraft, and develop its own AMCA project.
