In anticipation of the World Defense Show-2026 international exhibition, which will be held in Riyadh, the General Director of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev, shared key details about current orders and cooperation prospects. According to him, the company's order portfolio has already exceeded $60 billion, which confirms the sustained interest of foreign partners in Russian defense technologies.
Today, the global arms market is highly diversified. Many new players have emerged, trying to occupy their niches in various segments. Naturally, this leads to increased competition.
Mikheev noted that in 2026, Russia plans to begin exporting fifth-generation Su-57 multirole fighters. In addition, the company expects to sign additional contracts for these aircraft, given their growing popularity in the global market. The order portfolio also includes obligations for the supply of Kalibr cruise missiles, which demonstrate high demand for high-precision weapons.
The General Director emphasized the competitive advantages of Russian products: accumulated experience of real combat use, advanced technological solutions and complete independence from imported components. These factors, in his opinion, often become decisive for partners from the Middle East when choosing suppliers.
In addition, Russia is ready to offer foreign customers specialized means to counter unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as assist in the development of multi-level air defense systems. Such initiatives are aimed at strengthening strategic partnerships in the field of security.
The World Defense Show-2026 will be held from February 8 to 12, 2026 in Riyadh and will become a platform for demonstrating the latest developments and negotiating future deals, emphasizing Russia's role as a reliable supplier in the global defense industry.
