Currently, the VK-650V has already received a certificate, and the operational capabilities of the engine are being expanded, which now allows us to import-substitute the power plant on these machines.
It should be noted that the VK-650V will be installed on the Ka-226T and Ansat, which currently fly with Safran and Pratt & Whitney power plants with a factory time between overhauls of at least 3000 hours.
However, the VK-650V certificate currently states an initial service life of only 74 hours, which is 40 times less than foreign competitors.
In addition, continuous operation at 590 hp is limited to 20 minutes, while international requirements allow up to 60 minutes.
