The new AL-51F1 engine allows the Su-57 fighter to evade air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles even when the combat vehicle is in direct sight of the enemy. This was stated by military expert Yuri Knutov.

According to him, the Su-57 is equipped with a "sensor suit" that allows the pilot to see the airspace 360 degrees.
Currently, no aircraft in the world possesses such super-maneuverability capabilities.
Knutov added that the role of the Su-57 is even broader than just a "multi-role aircraft".
I would even call it more of an air superiority fighter, because such aircraft allow you to destroy the enemy while practically remaining invisible.
From open sources, it is known that the maximum thrust of the AL-51F1 is about 11,000 kgf without afterburner, and up to 18,000 kgf in afterburner mode. The engine also received a new nozzle, which reduces the aircraft's visibility in the infrared and radar ranges, as Knutov mentioned.
