A specialized center for the repair of Tor anti-aircraft missile systems has started operating in Belarus. The center opened on the territory of the 2566th plant, which specializes in the repair of radio-electronic armaments, and its technical activities are carried out jointly with the Russian concern Almaz-Antey.

Now, maintenance and restoration of the systems can be carried out directly in Belarus. This should reduce repair time and accelerate the return of combat vehicles to service.

The new facility combines the production capabilities of the Belarusian enterprise and the experience of Almaz-Antey, the developer and manufacturer of the Tor family of anti-aircraft missile systems. For the Belarusian side, the project simultaneously expands its own repair base and allows for the accumulation of competencies in the maintenance of modern air defense equipment.

According to Andrei Lukyanovich, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of Belarus, the Tor is one of the most effective systems in its class. He noted that the system is designed to combat a wide range of aerial targets, including small-sized and high-precision objects.

According to Lukyanovich, the launch of the center is the result of joint work between Belarus and Russia in the field of military-technical cooperation. Now, repair and restoration operations can be performed directly within the country, without the need to send equipment abroad for such work.
