"Yandex" is launching a virtual operator, "Yandex Sim," where AI will become part of regular mobile communication. With the user's consent, the assistant will be able to transcribe calls, understand their meaning, and immediately convert the conversation into useful actions.

For example, after a call with a service technician, the AI will suggest saving the contact, adding the meeting to the calendar, and setting a reminder. Several conversations can be combined into a common context to quickly find the necessary information later.
A special emphasis is placed on protection against scammers. The AI will be able to detect signs of fraud during the conversation, warn about the risk of transmitting personal data, and, if necessary, interrupt the call. In the first half of 2026, the "Yandex" caller ID processed 388 million calls from unknown numbers, of which 143 million were recognized as unwanted or fraudulent.
For banking applications and "Gosuslugi," it will be possible to create a separate "clean" number that has not been previously used in mobile networks. Conversations, according to the company, will be processed automatically, and data will be stored in encrypted form.
Currently, "Yandex Sim" is available in Moscow and St. Petersburg and operates on the Beeline network. Later, the service will appear in other cities, and the AI will also learn to select a tariff based on actual consumption of minutes and internet.
