The Russian company "Reglab", which develops digital control systems for industrial equipment, has opened a representative office in Beijing. The task is to integrate its solutions into installations that Chinese manufacturers supply to Russia. The first partners were companies from the Sinopec Group and Shanghai Kaiyingda.

This refers to process automation systems — essentially, the "brains" of factory installations. They collect data from sensors, monitor pressure, temperature, rotation speed, and control equipment operation without constant human intervention. Now, such systems will be made in Russia and installed on Chinese machines and compressors during the production stage in China.

This solves a problem faced by Russian factories. From 2025, it will be forbidden to use foreign software on critical infrastructure facilities, and from 2030, all automation on such facilities must be replaced with domestic ones. If an enterprise buys equipment with an imported control system, in a few years it will have to rework it — pay again, risk that the installation will not work. "Reglab" offers a different path: Chinese equipment is supplied with Russian REGUL automation, ready-made licenses, and Russian-language documentation.

The volumes speak for themselves. For one compressor in a project with Sinopec, the system processes 120 signals from sensors, and in another project — 400. The control is built on Russian REGUL R500 controllers, which have already passed acceptance tests and are being prepared for commissioning at the facilities of Russian customers.

Such cooperation is beneficial for both sides. Chinese manufacturers gain access to the Russian market, and Russian developers get the opportunity to gain experience in real large projects, which they currently lack. If the scheme works, it could become an example for other companies.
