Engineers from Moscow have developed and patented a training simulator that simulates the appearance of a strike drone and its attack on a serviceman, simultaneously measuring the speed and correctness of the reaction.

The system is based on a training ground with four telescopic stands around the perimeter. Their upper parts are connected by crossed metal cables that sag in the center. A roller with an attached drone mock-up can move along each cable.

Before the exercise, the mock-ups are held by clamps near the stands. At the command of the hardware-software complex, one of the clamps releases the roller, after which the mock-up begins to move down the cable under its own weight. This creates an imitation of a drone attack towards the center of the platform.

The mock-ups also reproduce the characteristic sound of rotating blades. The serviceman must determine the direction from which the sound appeared, visually locate the source, and choose the correct direction of movement. In the event of a normal drone appearance without an attack, it is necessary to move in the opposite direction. If the mock-up begins to move towards the center, the serviceman must move out of the line of attack diagonally at approximately 45 degrees.

The person's position on the platform is tracked by motion sensors. They transmit data wirelessly to the control complex, which compares the reaction time and the actual direction of movement with the specified scenario. The system considers, in particular, movement in the wrong direction or lack of movement as an error.
