In the waters of the production complex of the R.E. Alekseev Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau in Nizhny Novgorod, the first trial commissioning sortie of the high-speed passenger hydrofoil vessel of Project "Meteor-120R" (factory number S-708), built for operation on routes in the Rostov region, took place.

During the sortie, a comprehensive check of the systems' operability in standard modes was carried out: the foil and steering devices, as well as the systems and mechanisms of the main power plant. This stage of sea trials was preceded by successful testing of all mechanisms at the pier.

Preliminary results indicate that all systems are operating normally. The vessel is preparing for a full cycle of acceptance tests.

The "Meteor-120R" is a modernized version of Soviet hydrofoil vessels, designed to carry up to 120 passengers over a distance of up to 600 km at an average speed of 65 km/h. The new generation vessel operates almost without noise and vibrations compared to its Soviet prototype, and its control is supported by an integrated bridge system with artificial intelligence elements.
