Servicemen of the Unmanned Systems Troops (BVS) of the Russian Armed Forces of the "Zapad" group of forces received "Malysh" aircraft-type strike drones. Operators have mastered the new aircraft and have begun to use them as intended, the Russian Ministry of Defence press service reported.

Crews are on round-the-clock duty, patrolling the sky with the help of "Malysh" drones. Servicemen protect the delivery and movement of military cargo. The new drones are distinguished by their versatility, ease of maintenance, and preparation for flight. They are hand-launched.

Thanks to its aircraft-like fixed-wing design, the "Malysh" develops high speed. The drone can catch up with enemy strike drones at long distances. The department does not provide detailed characteristics of the device.
