Since 2020, Rosreestr has achieved the blocking of 531 doppelganger websites that illegally resold information from the Unified State Register of Real Estate (EGRN), the agency reported.
Maxim Smirnov, Deputy Head of Rosreestr, clarified that last year alone, in cooperation with law enforcement, they managed to suppress the operation of 47 Rosreestr doppelganger websites, 17 doppelganger websites of the public cadastral map, and 13 Telegram channels.
In the first seven months of 2026, Rosreestr, together with the prosecutor's office, blocked six doppelganger websites of the agency that offered paid services for selling information from the EGRN. Materials regarding another 55 Rosreestr doppelganger websites and 12 doppelganger websites of the public cadastral map and the "NSPD" digital platform have been submitted to the Moscow Prosecutor's Office for filing lawsuits for blocking. Six Telegram channels reselling information from the real estate register were also identified.
Rosreestr reminded that extracts from the EGRN can be obtained free of charge on the official website of the agency and through the MFC. Doppelganger websites masquerade as the official Rosreestr portal and charge for information that is freely available to everyone, using deceptive domain names and copying the design. In 2023 alone, Rosreestr identified and blocked 19 such websites. The agency noted that the fight against fraudulent resources continues.
