Yandex plans to produce up to 1,500 delivery robots per month at its own factory and send them to Russian cities with over a million inhabitants. Currently, the company's fleet includes over a thousand rovers operating in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and their suburbs.

At the same time, the company is considering different formats for robotic delivery, similar to taxi tariffs. In a cheaper option, the client will have to go out to the entrance and pick up the order from the rover themselves. Delivery by courier directly to the door may cost more.

Scaling will continue in the coming years. By the end of 2027, Yandex expects to produce 20,000 delivery robots and significantly expand their operational geography.

In parallel, new traffic rules are being prepared for the rovers. The experimental regime project proposes a ban on driving on sidewalks less than one meter wide, a speed limit of 25 km/h, and a mandatory reduction to 6 km/h before pedestrian crossings. Robots will also have to yield to pedestrians.
