Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation has supplied over 500 ophthalmic devices to medical institutions in more than 30 regions of the country over three years. The equipment is used for diagnosing eye diseases and rehabilitation therapy, replacing imported equipment.

The most popular device is the NBO-3 head-mounted ophthalmoscope manufactured by Zagorsky Optical-Mechanical Plant – about 200 supplied devices are in operation in clinics in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and 15 other regions from Kaliningrad to the Far East. The device allows the doctor to examine the fundus binocularly and stereoscopically without pharmacological pupil dilation, and its autonomous power supply makes it suitable for use in a ward or at home. Another 170 slit lamps from Krasnogorsky Zavod named after S. A. Zverev were sent to 18 regions.

In pediatric ophthalmology, the MBS-02 monobinocular became a key device – over three and a half years, about 70 such devices were supplied to thirteen regions. The device has no analogues either in Russia or abroad; it diagnoses and treats functional visual impairments and strabismus in children using three types of light radiation.
