The new "Vurdalak" drone has begun to be supplied to units of the Russian army and is already being used on the front line. The device was developed by the company "Dronax", creating it as a more advanced version of the "Black Kite-6" hexacopter with an emphasis on ease of operation and mass production.
The manufacturer reported that the UAV is designed for regular use and has received an updated design compared to the previous model. The developers focused on reliability, ease of maintenance, and the possibility of quick use in various tasks.
The hexacopter is equipped with a system designed to carry a payload of up to 15 kg. The maximum speed of the device reaches 120 km/h, and the flight duration is up to 56 minutes.
According to "Dronax", "Vurdalak" is an evolution of the "Black Kite-6" platform. The modernization allowed for maintaining simple operation and increasing the efficiency of the drone for mass use.
The new device belongs to the class of heavy multi-rotor drones, which are used where a combination of high payload capacity, speed, and the ability to stay in the air for a long time is required.
