The first production SKAT-220 unmanned aerial vehicles have already been delivered to Russian military units and have undergone the necessary test flights before operation. The new drone is designed for reconnaissance and monitoring tasks and has become one of the latest models in the Kalashnikov Concern's unmanned lineup.

The SKAT-220 was created by specialists from OOO "Izhevsk Aviation Plant" (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) based on the larger SKAT-350M drone. The new version has reduced dimensions and weight: the wingspan is 2.2 meters, and the weight of the aircraft is about 12 kg.

The compact design allowed for high flight characteristics. The drone can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h and stay in the air for more than 150 minutes. An electric motor is used as the power plant.

The SKAT-220 is launched from a catapult, and landing is performed using a parachute system. The design is intended for long-term operation and work in various conditions.
