Rostec State Corporation noted an increase in interest from foreign customers in the export versions of the Su-57 and Su-35 fighters. The Su-57, produced at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant named after Yu. A. Gagarin, has confirmed its effectiveness in real combat operations.
The contract for the supply of Su-57 aircraft to the Russian Ministry of Defence was signed in 2018, and the first aircraft was delivered to the Russian Armed Forces in 2020.
The aircraft has numerous air, ground, and surface targets hit by Russian aviation munitions, including the newest RVV-SDM guided missile.
Mikheev did not specify which foreign customers are interested in the fighter.
The technical characteristics of the aircraft are not disclosed. However, it is known that the export version of the single-seat twin-engine Su-57E aircraft has a maximum take-off weight of 34 tons.
It can carry 7.5 tons of combat load, climbs to 18,800 m, accelerates to Mach 2 (two times the speed of sound), and has a combat radius of 1,250 km.
