Leningrad shipbuilders launched the Inarctica fish farming platform (feed distributor) of project RVP850, which is being built at PF Shtorm facilities for the Inarctica company. It will be operated as part of a marine fish farm in a stationary mode.

The platform can be installed in fish farming areas used for cage farming (an aquaculture method where fish are kept in net structures) of Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout. The distance from the shore is no more than 800 m.

• Feed bunker capacity — 1000 t

The non-self-propelled floating structure is designed to perform basic operations: feed storage, its loading onto the vessel using a crane-manipulator, and delivery to fish farming cages.

The project was developed by specialists from Forss Technologies. Technical support for construction is provided by KB Flagman. In particular, engineers prepare acceptance and operational documentation.

Norway is a leader in industrial aquaculture technologies. Russia used its experience to create fish farms. In addition, equipment, automation systems, and feed lines were purchased there. Due to sanctions, Russian fish farmers were forced to switch to their own solutions. Project RVP850 is the first platform fully designed and built in Russia.
