The large freezer trawler (BMRT) "Kapitan Ipatov" (ST-192 project) was launched at Admiralty Shipyards (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, OSK) in St. Petersburg. This is the seventh of ten vessels being built for the Russian Fishery Company (RRPK) as part of the state program "Quotas for Keel".
Andrey Kostin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSK, stated that the construction of ST-192 project vessels will continue. He emphasized that the team at Admiralty Shipyards is performing work that is very important for the country.
And the shipyard, of course, will remain one of the leaders of our shipbuilding industry.
Completion work on the "Kapitan Ipatov" trawler will begin in the near future. After their completion, sea trials are planned. Then the vessel will join the RRPK fleet.
St. Petersburg shipbuilders are also building the eighth ST-192 project trawler – the "Alexander Buzakov". It will be commissioned in 2027.
ST-192 project trawlers are the largest in Russia. They are equipped with facilities for waste-free processing, producing frozen products, fishmeal, and fish oil.
